Yes, it’s been a hot minute. I know, I know—I’ve been MIA for far too long, and you probably thought I had fallen off the face of the earth. Well, let me tell you, I’ve been busy. Like, next-level, what-the-hell-happened busy.
First off, I’ve missed blogging every day. Seriously, I’ve missed writing so much that it feels like I’ve been stuck in a creativity desert with no oasis in sight. It’s not that I didn’t want to blog. Oh, I wanted to. I longed for those quiet moments with my laptop, typing away, ranting and raving, and sharing bits of my chaotic life with you all. But life decided to pull a fast one on me.
For those of you who don’t know, I have three girls. Three. Girls. If that doesn’t already make you break out in a cold sweat, let me break it down for you. One is just starting to come into her own little sass factory at the tender age of five. The middle one is deep into the eye-rolling, sarcastic responses, and the general “you’re embarrassing me” phase. And the oldest is about to turn sixteen. Yes, sweet sixteen. Save me.
Summer break is here, and that means my house is a constant whirlwind of giggles, arguments, “Mom, I’m bored!” declarations, and endless snacks. Seriously, I should just buy a grocery store at this point. And because I apparently have a soft spot for chaos, I’ve been juggling their summer schedules like a circus performer on crack. Swim lessons, summer camps, sleepovers, random bursts of drama because someone’s hairbrush is missing—it’s all happening here.
Let’s not even get into the joy of having a teenager who wants to get her driver’s license. I’ve aged ten years just thinking about it. Teaching a teen to drive is like willingly strapping yourself into a roller coaster built by a drunken engineer. There are screams, there are moments of sheer terror, and there’s a lot of praying involved. Mostly on my part.
But enough of my excuses. I’m back and ready to dive into the deep end of blogging again. I’ve missed it so much that I’m actually excited to sit down and type out my thoughts. Imagine that! Writing about the madness in my house, sharing the ups and downs, and just getting it all out there again. I’ve got so many stories piled up from the past few months that I don’t even know where to start. Maybe the one where the five-year-old decided to “decorate” the living room with glitter, or the time the middle one thought it would be funny to prank call me from her friend’s phone. Spoiler: it wasn’t funny.
So here’s to getting back to what I love. Here’s to sharing my life with all of you again. Here’s to the ridiculous, the chaotic, and the downright hilarious moments that make up my everyday existence. Buckle up, folks. It’s going to be a wild ride. So glad to be back.
